FAMILY FUN AT THE GULFARIUM
Whether you’re just visiting Fort Walton Beach or Destin, or you are lucky enough to live here, there is always something to do on Florida’s beautiful Emerald Coast. What better way to get up close and personal with the local sea life than a visit to the Gulfarium. Conveniently located right between Destin and Fort Walton Beach on Okaloosa Island, this local landmark has been entertaining and educating folks for over 50 years! Locally owned and operated, the Gulfarium is home to several spirited Dolphin’s and Sea Lions among other assorted sea creatures. As you might expect, the Gulfarium Trainers form a loving and strong bond with their charges. Let’s introduce this aquatic cast of characters!
Everyone’s favorites are the Dolphins;
Delilah- 36 years old - Brilliant, one of the Shows Superstars,
Lily- 7 years old- Spunky & Playful
Ariel- 5 years old- Mischievous & rescued from New York
Princess- 37 years old- Sassy, one of the Founders
Zac- 15 years old- Clever, you’ll have to watch him close.
Then there are the Sea Lions:
Molly- 20 years old- Energetic
Star- 23 years old- Goofy
Cory- 22 years old- Boisterous
Kyle- 23 years old- Confident
In future articles, we will spend quality time getting to know each of these wonderful creatures
up close and personal. We will showcase a different member of the Gulfarium, get some in-depth Trainer
insights and link some private, playful footage.
