Wow, did Walton County’s Chamber put on a fantastic event last Thursday night! I expected the Celebrity

Waiter Dinner to be a nice little dinner, but it definitely offered wow factor. Kudos to Valencia Williamson.

Michelle Ray was one of the celebrity waiters. I enjoyed meeting Christy Scally and her husband. Kay Phelan,

Tiffany McCaskill, John Russell, Ro Cuchens, Cory and Tammy Godwin, Sheriff Michael Adkinson and his

wife, and Stephan and Lori Karian were some of the folks I saw.

The area continues to garner attention in a good way as one of Canada's top tennis magazines featured

Sandestin Tennis and Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort recently.

Travel+Leisure magazine gave Santa Rosa Beach a plug in its recent issue and did a small feature on Pizza

By The Sea.

30A.com worked with the National Geographic team on a Beaches of South Walton feature for the September

issue of "National Geographic Traveler." Seaside, WaterColor Inn, Seagrove and Alys Beach were mentioned.

Best wishes to Erica Trejo, who will marry Levy Odera, formerly of Nairobi, Kenya, in Gainesville on Dec. 20.

Levy is currently a doctoral student UF.

Dave Rauschkolb took another First in Last Sunday's Deep Stack Poker Tournament at Ebro winning $1,300.

Four weeks ago he took Second in the Monthly $300 buy-in tournament for $2,400.

Emeril dined at Tim Creehan’s Cuvee Bistro Saturday night and ordered fried green tomatoes and the chef’s

Chicken Brilliant. On Sunday, Chef Creehan fed Amy Grant and her band after her concert in Panama City.

Dread Clampitt played in Chattanooga, Tenn., at the Barking Legs Theater, and the Station Inn in Nashville

before heading to Bowling Green, Ky. for the Newgrass Fest.

Kyle Petit is back from the 68th annual Good Water Ski National Championships in Wilmington, Ill., where she

garnered a ranking of eighth in the nation in her division.

Sorry to hear that Al Alvarado is no longer with Jones & Co.

John Morris attended the Society of Wine Educators conference in Washington, D.C., last week and visited

family in Camden, Maine.

Margie and Melanie Jordan send aloha greetings from Kona, Hawaii. They are there for a wedding at the

Waikalua Hilton and spending 10 days with friends and family. While there they will visit greenhouses and

orchid farms.

Judy and Joe Zito had quite an adventure on their recent Russian cruise, which hit another ship. The Zitos and

other passengers ended up getting a free stay in Moscow.

Christy Haynes is on a fly-fishing adventure in Alaska.

Leslie Bumpas went to Texas.
